The GRC is not a program of any regional association or Gestalt training institute. It is not strictly aligned with any Gestalt publishing enterprise, although its purpose requires it to network widely with publishing efforts of many and diverse kinds, including those associated with Gestalt therapy, and to be involved with Gestalt associations and training centers.
The aim of the GRC is to support the field of Gestalt therapy by encouraging and nurturing an organized approach to research. This includes identification of strategic research topics, listings of Gestalt-related research already available, meta-studies, consultation, advice on publishing, potential participation in future research projects, networking outside the field of Gestalt therapy and dialogue regarding Gestalt applications in the wider field. The GRC also hopes to influence and support a wider dissemination of Gestalt therapy in the fields of clinical psychology, education, social services and community building, organizational consulting, and performance-related disciplines. |
